GEMINI will be in Seville during the three days of Urban Mobility Days. On October 6 there will be the GEMINI presentation during the Project Pitches session.
Urban Mobility Days will bring together politicians, local authorities, industry, and urban transport practitioners with the European Commission to connect, share and discuss the path forward for a sustainable, innovative, and equitable future for Europe’s urban mobility.
And as 2023 is the European Year of Skills, Urban Mobility Days will have a specific focus on transport skills.
The event is organised by the European Commission together with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The programme starts on the morning of the 4th October with an (invitation-only) meeting of the CIVITAS network and, in parallel, a workshop on the commitment of city administrations to adopting sustainable urban mobility solutions capable of involving the public and end users, and on the strategies to be adopted.
This will be followed by three plenary sessions and several strategy sessions in parallel between the 4th afternoon and the 6th morning. The first plenary session, on the 4th afternoon, will be dedicated to the support of Ukraine by the Urban Community for Mobility; at the end of the morning of the 5th October, the second plenary session will address cycling and tools to promote mobility by bicycle or e-bike. On the morning of the 6th, the last plenary session that will conclude the event, will be dedicated to the skills needed in urban mobility to ensure the right transition, and the resulting training and retraining needs.
